FAQ – Robostop

 

1. What is Robostop?

Robostop is a product that prevents robotic lawnmowers from running onto trampoline legs. It protects both the robotic lawnmower and the trampoline.

 

2. Why do robotic lawnmowers run into trampoline legs?

Robot lawnmowers often perceive trampoline legs as part of the lawn. Therefore, they can collide, get stuck or stop when they hit the trampoline.

 

3. How does Robostop solve the problem with trampolines?

Robostop creates a clear barrier around the trampoline legs and provides resistance to the mower, so that the robotic lawnmower turns at Robostop before it hits the trampoline legs. This reduces the chance of the mower getting stuck and can thus continue mowing the lawn undisturbed.

 

4. Does Robostop work with all robotic lawnmowers?

Robostop works with most robotic lawnmowers, including many versions of Husqvarna Automower, Gardena, Worx and Bosch. It may be a good idea to check that your mower has a sensor on the front, which will match the height at which Robostop is mounted. Most mowers do.

 

5. Does Robostop fit all trampolines?

Robostop fits most standard trampolines used in European gardens, both round and oval models. Make sure that the legs of the trampoline are not too curved at the bottom. Then mounting at the right height can be challenging.

 

6. Is Robostop made for harsh weather?

Yes, Robostop is developed for outdoor use and can withstand rain, sun and varying weather condition. But take them off after the end of the season and store them inside over the winter.

 

7. Does Robostop affect the mowing result?

Robostop often improves the result by preventing the robotic lawnmower from getting stuck around the trampoline.

 

8. Where can I buy Robostop?

9. Can I just lay extra cable around the trampoline instead?

Yes, that is also a possible solution, but it requires more installation and adjustment. The trampoline cannot be moved either. Robostop is a simpler solution that does not affect the rest of the robotic lawnmower setup.

 

10. What happens if I do not use Robostop?

The robotic lawnmower can drive into the trampoline and get stuck. The mower will then stop until you manually have the opportunity to start it again. This can lead to poorer mowing results and more maintenance.

 

11. Is Robostop visible in the garden?

Robostop is designed to be discreet and slide naturally onto the trampoline.

 

12. Do I have to remove Robostop when I move the trampoline?

Yes, if the trampoline is moved, Robostop must be adjusted accordingly, but it is easy to do.

 

13. Is Robostop a permanent solution?

Yes, it can be left outside all season and requires minimal maintenance.

14. Is Robostop.eu a Norwegian online store?

Robostop is a Norwegian invention but it is shipped from Sweden. That means it has already cleared customs when you buy it from the site. We have supplied Europe with Robostop since 2020.
